The need for environmental sustainability is a growing priority for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as they are increasingly subjected to environmental pressures, environmental resource limits, and environmental impacts due to evolving environmental conditions. The effect of Environmental Ethics on green organizational resilience of manufacturing SMEs in Pakistan has been explored in this study. Based on the proposed relationship between these constructs, the study examines if there is a connection between environmentally responsible values/ethical principles and organizations' abilities to anticipate environmental issues, withstand, adapt, and recover from environmental issues, and keep their commitment to sustainability. The positive path coefficients of the structural model show that environmental ethics have a positive influence on the green organizational resilience (β = 0.563) and that environmental ethics explain 31.7% of the variance in green organizational resilience (R² = 0.317). The present study, in this regard, adds to the literature on sustainability and organizational resilience by exploring the role of environmental ethics as a potential antecedent of green organizational resilience in the case of manufacturing SMEs in Pakistan. Some of the results might have practical significance for SME managers interested in incorporating environmental responsibility into organizational decision-making and resilience-building initiatives.
